Local Expertise. Global Connections.
As a member of the team at Sotheby’s International Realty, Andrew B. Marlay provides a specialized type of service highly valued by both national and international clients.
Andrew is an expert on Manhattan’s pre-war apartment buildings and townhouses. He has a thorough understanding of the New York City real estate market and a comprehensive knowledge of pre-war architecture, design and construction.
These qualities are major assets for any client involved in a real estate transaction. With impeccable business ethics, and a strong sense of collaboration, Andrew then works closely with his clients through the entire sales or acquisition process from beginning to end. He is deeply committed to establishing and maintaining long term client relationships, and he is always available to his clients not only throughout the transaction, but going forward as well.
Andrew is a long time resident of New York City. Prior to establishing his real estate career, he worked in the interior design and construction industries for over eighteen years. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatrical stage design from the New York University School of the Arts, and was for many years an award-winning costume designer for the theatre, opera and ballet.
Andrew is an accomplished equestrian and enjoys sailing as well. An inveterate world traveler, he is fascinated by all things cultural, historic and culinary, no matter where he is.
Andrew B. Marlay is a loyal supporter of Housing Works, the United Spinal Association and the Wounded Warrior Project. He is also a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, the New York Historical Society and the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art.
