Local Expertise. Global Connections.

Consistently ranked as the top-producing individual broker at Sotheby's International Realty, Serena Boardman has sold in excess of $5 billion during her career. Serena is well-known for her deal-making expertise, extreme professionalism, and her encyclopedic knowledge of the Upper East Side's market for top echelon properties, as well as an ability to create synergies between buyers and sellers in off-market deals.

Both Real Trends and the Real Deal have regularly ranked Serena as the number one agent in the United States and Manhattan, respectively. Among many career milestones, highlights include numerous sales records, such as the Penthouse at 960 Fifth Avenue ($70 million), a high-floor apartment at 740 Park Avenue ($71.3 million), a residence at 834 Fifth Avenue ($77.5 million), and most recently, a significant and storied limestone Mansion ($56 million). Notably, for many of these transactions, Serena has represented both buyer and seller.

In addition to these major sales, much of Serena's time is dedicated to properties with a wide range of value. The majority of Serena's sales are between $5 million and $15 million, where the market is most active. Serena works with a variety of American and International clients from the financial, media and entertainment, agriculture, industry, and real estate worlds. She is enthusiastic, hardworking, and discreet, and she is a keen architectural and design devotee.

Serena's understanding of and total immersion in the top-tier segment of the market, her sound counsel, and her unwavering commitment to the best interests of her clients have been the basis of relationships that often continue through many stages of life and multiple transactions. In addition to her extensive knowledge of the market, Serena's nuanced knowledge of individual buildings is invaluable to buyers and sellers alike. Having grown up in a cooperative building on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, Serena is also in a unique and unparalleled position to fully appreciate and to expertly navigate the intricacies of the cooperative sale process.

Serena is a graduate of the Chapin School, Brooks School, and Brown University, where she majored in Art History and Political Science. Before launching her career in real estate in 2001, Serena worked at Sotheby's auction house in the English and European furniture departments, and at luxuryfinder.com. In addition to her work, Serena is also very committed to supporting a number of city-based charitable causes, such as New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and the ASPCA.
